Experience: 5+ years’ experience in Family Law (essential).

We are looking for an experienced lawyer to join our Family Team. Ideally, you will be seeking a leadership position and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Family Law including experience in handling complex financial disputes.
The Family Team undertake varied matrimonial and family law matters on a private paying basis (i.e. no legal aid). The team is based at Maghull and cover all our offices.

You will work closely with other leaders, including your Director Responsible to develop the team in terms of culture, efficiency, performance, and profitability and be passionate about delivering high-quality work and achieving goals.

Key Duties
- Attend upon clients and others to take instructions and provide expert legal advice.
- Meet client demands and expectations, as well as case specific demands.
- Adhere to financial procedures including accurately recording matter related time, regularly billing clients, ensuring there are appropriate monies on client account and keeping clients up to date on incurred and future costs.
- Handle a range of matters (e.g. divorce, separation, child arrangements) from initial instruction through to settlement, mediation, or final hearing.
- Diarise key dates and deadlines and keep under review.
- Schedule meetings/appointments/conferences and maintain an up-to-date diary.
- Prepare for Court hearings and arrange representation/attend hearings.
- Work closely with the Director Responsible on strategic planning for the Team.
- Promote cross selling across all teams and support marketing, business development, and community engagement, encouraging team member involvement in key activities.
- Manage team performance by conducting regular performance reviews.
- Manage the team in everyday matters including supervision and best practice.
- Regularly analyse team profitability against expenditure to identify trends and patterns.
- Ensure a high standard of client service is achieved.
- Oversee training and development for the team.
- Collaborate with the rest of the leadership team, sharing ideas and best practice.
Salary, Holidays and Benefits
- The salary for this role is up to £55,000 + leadership supplement per annum DOE.
- Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days, if you are 5+ years PQE on starting with us.
